Jason Hopwood
As an East Coast native, Jason took “the plunge” into the world of wine initially as a culinary professional, working in both back- and front-of-house restaurant operations, where he helped develop wine and beverage menus. His natural curiosity and passion for wine led him to a harvest internship in Sonoma, California, which ultimately inspired him to pursue an undergraduate degree in viticulture and enology.
Jason believes wholeheartedly in the potential of the Mid-Atlantic region to produce high-quality grapes and wines, and he is dedicated to showcasing what the region can achieve. He brings both experience and enthusiasm to his craft, always focused on growth, quality, and collaboration.
Outside of winemaking, Jason values being part of a strong team—both at work and at home. His greatest team includes his spouse, Erin, and their two children, who keep life busy, grounded, and full of purpose.
