Picnic Perfect

The theme of “family” runs deep within Harvest Ridge Winery. The roots of the Harvest Ridge tree are prominent in our logo, for us this represents family.  This month we wanted to share more of our family with you. 

This is a family favorite recipe from Chris Nunan, one of the founding members of Harvest Ridge Winery. Many of you knew Chris and it is a great honor to share one of her recipe with our Winery Family. She often encouraged people to make recipes their own, and we hope that you do!

We are sharing her recipe for Bacon Pineapple Wrapped Shrimp.  


½ pound of Shrimp (peeled and deveined)

½ pound of Bacon sliced in half

1 Can of Pineapple, cut into large chunks (Pineapple rings work best)


Top Shrimp with Pineapple and wrap in bacon. Secure the bacon with a toothpick or skewer.

Heat a frying pan to medium heat. Place Shrimp Skewer into the pan cooking 3 minutes per side. Cook until Shrimp is pink, and bacon is cooked to your preference. 

Remove from pan and allow to cool! 

This recipe is the perfect picnic snack and travels easily.  It makes a wonderful addition to your charcuterie board. The winery is the perfect location for a Spring picnic, we would love for you and your family to come and enjoy this recipe with a glass of wine. We recommend pairing Pinot Gris with this snack!
