What is Happening at Harvest Ridge Winery?

A lot has been going on behind the scenes at Harvest Ridge Winery in the last year. We are ramping up our vineyard and production sides of the winery, to be able to make more wine for you!

Our vineyard crew has been hard at work in our Maryland vineyards. We added an additional 4.5 acres of grapes this month and we replanted 2 acres of a variety that has not produced well for us in the past with proven varieties, like Vidal Blanc.

The grape varieties we planted are Cab Sauvignon (2 acres), Cab Franc (1/2 acre), Barbera (1 acre) and Sauvignon Blanc (1 acre). Which brings Harvest Ridge to a total of 34.5 acres of grapes! We are hoping to produce 33.5 tons of grapes this year. More grapes mean more wine!

In our Production building we added a new Storage Room to the building. What does this mean for you?

This means that we have more room to store and produce wine. The addition of the building gives us more room in the Tank Room, and we have transitioned the old Storage Area to a Barrel Room.

With the expansion we are able to shift all of our storage to its own space. This allows us more room in our production room to produce wine and cider and to store our new bottling line.

The expansion of the Production Building also allowed us to add a Barrel Room! We are excited to see what the future holds for this space. Let us know what type of things you might like to see!

And lastly, we just expanded our back patio last week! This will give us more room for outdoor seating.

We can’t wait to see where this next chapter takes us. We love getting to see Harvest Ridge Winery grow to better fit the needs of our guests! All of these changes were made possible by our amazing customers. We appreciate you all and couldn’t do it without you!
